Oh well I didn't break 44 mins. 44:48 in fact. I guess you are not going to get a new pb every run. The good thing is whilst i still feel knackered when I get to work I am recovering quicker. I at least feel like I could go out and do a bit more. My new bottom bracket arrived yesterday - didn't get to chance to fit it - parents evening sort of got in the way. Might get the chance tonight but its junior hockey and tesco big shop tonight so chances are I will have to save for the weekend. Another thanks to those who have come, looked donated and gone. Hopefully they will return just to have a quick look as to what is going on.

Mr Holmes,
ReplyDeleteJeez, it was a long time ago sice I called you that. Honestly, I really didn;t connect with you as a teacher at first, but eventually I did - you basically took the time to give me the skills to I got the best job I ever had (you were teaching IT in your own time, and if it weren't for that, I don't think my career choice would have gone the way it did) I'm not one of those "this teacher made me the man I am" but I really respect the sacrifice you gave to me and my peers, especially in IT. My kid brother forwarded me your information. I will find it an honour to sponsor you on this trip, but I also want to challenge you - once you've completed this, complete a cross Canada trip with me, for the same cause (Christies). Think about it.....my money and thoughts are with you
MARK BOWIE
Heck! I was worred that I would try and contact students from the past and find that they wouldn't even remember me, I never in a month of Sudays expected comments like that. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWith regards to coast to coast Canada Having had a look on the wed for a distance it's Bloody huge. 3000 mile or 5800 mile if you go on the wide bit - I suspect that you are fitter than I think I am. I will not say no - but that is not a yes. :-)
Hey, Graham (still feel as though I should call you Mr Holmes, but oh well!). I've cobbled together a blog that looks like a massive rip-off of yours - I hope you don't mind! I had been trying to figure out how to raise a bit of money for the festival given that sites like justgiving only allow you to sponsor their listed charities. And hey presto, your blog was my inspiration. I've linked your blog, as is only fair, and will be following your posts with interest. Keep up the hard work. And you should definitely take up the Canada challenge. Don't be mard ;-)

I like the look of the blog, I don't know if its by age or not but the font and colour combination are a bit tricky to read. With regards to the Canada thing it not just the distance, Mark is in Canada, I am in Manchester, I have a job, a wife and a child. Imagine -
