Am amazing ride in this morning, I was up and out early – left the house at 5:25 or there about. Off out towards Sheffield on the Woodhead Rd. Got to the border of Derbyshire and Yorkshire turned round and came back, out to Gee Cross, then Hyde, back up through Godley to Mottram, turned round and then to work, 35 miles in the bag by about 7:30. I can not believe how cold I was when I stopped – felt fine on the bike but it must have been a good 45 mins before I stopped shivering.
Bad news is that my lovely little Garmin computer thing appears to be knackered, it shopped working about 10 miles into the ride – it claimed I was not moving for the remaining 25 miles, only to then tell me that I was travelling at 6.5 mph once I had got off the bike !?! I shall have to see how good the Garmin after sales service is.
Clearly technology is not on my side today, as half way through my assembly the computer decided to lock up and freeze my power point thing.
Oh should have mentioned - I got out for a bit yesterday, legs had recovered much better than I could have hoped for after Saturday. :-)
