Wow Back on the bike after a two week lay off. 50 miles in the hills with Joney. The ride was great, weather was good, not too hot, or too cold, not too windy, but a nice breeze. Riding on a few roads that I had not ridden on before, some great views, some nice long hills, plenty of chance to get stood up in the pedals and work my legs a bit.
My knee has come throug it Ok. It's not totally right, I can certainly feel that there is still an issue with it but I should be OK to ride tomorrow. I can honestly say that the knee is in a better state than my chain, the milage has taken its toll, I have ordered a new one, but for now I have to put up with random gear changes, which are made as and when the bike sees fit, this is not a good state of affares, as they always seem to happen at the very time that you least want them too. Still it was good to be back on the bike, five weeks and counting. Hope my knee is OK.
Tee hee :-) I can just imagine you fighting your way up some monster hill and your chain deciding you should be in third or fourth instead of first gear! Glad your knee is holding up alright. Keep listening to your body.
