What a difference a new chain makes. It has been wonderful being able to choose what gear I wanted to be in, being able to select it and the bike dutifully obeying and them remaining there until I changed my mind.
An odd cycling day, 10 mile to Manchester, quick bit of shopping then home via my mums for a brew. Fit the new chain (hence the quick bit of shopping) then out to check that all was well – another 20 miles. Then a phone call for Jonesy resulted in a 40 mile outing with him and his mate “Iron Man Jim”. All in 80 mile most of it quite hilly, and my knee feels fine.
